“The Muslim World” forum will be held in Perm

The 10th Interregional Forum of Muslim Culture - The Muslim World - will be held on May 20-22 at the Perm Expo.

The forum is an annual event aimed at harmonizing interfaith relations and developing the culture of peoples who traditionally profess Islam. The forum will be organized by the Perm Regional Muslim Spiritual Administration with the support of regional and city authorities.

The main event of the business program will be the plenary session “Islam in Russia. To the 300th anniversary of the Russian Empire”. At breakout sessions participants will also discuss some aspects of Islamic education in our new reality, volunteering, social services, halal tourism, sports and other issues. There will be presented the first semantic translation of the Holy Quran into Russian and the book "Revival and Renewal".

The events will be attended by the chairmen of the Muslim Spiritual Russian Administration, imams, members of local Muslim organizations, representatives of regional and municipal authorities and experts in history, religion and ethnography.

The Interregional Quran Reader Competition will be held at the forum. Participants will be evaluated in different nominations. A diverse concert program awaits participants of the Forum on Saturday, May 22.

The Gorky Perm Regional Library will organize the work of the reading-room and present rare publications about the history and culture of peoples professing Islam. Traditionally, there will be organized a large-scale fair of goods and services related to the culture of Muslims.

At the "Bazaar" there will be presented Halal food, confectionery, oriental sweets, honey, dried fruits, spices, Muslim clothing, shoes, hats, folk crafts, carpets, textile, jewelry and bijouterie, natural cosmetics and perfumery, spiritual literature and many other things.
